.........Captain Mike says...       bloop bloop bloop....

NADA!!! - the Cap'n has managed to maintain his silence throughout the 1st Q of 2008! Can it last?

Early Spring was good to us! We spent over a week in March exploring Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula. We went with our friends Steve & Sandra, and spent time swimming, sunning, and checking out the wildlife. We took a TON of photos: check them out!

The S/V Gambit weathered the winter just fine. A quick coat of bottom paint was all she needed, and we're already back at home on O-Dock at Herrington Harbour South! We're planning to take her out today - it's a beatiful 70 degrees. Just have to wait for Captain Mike to get back from a spring racing seminar.

Date: 2/6/08 (by who else? 1st Mate Renée!)
We left off in 2007 with great anticipation of attending an island-themed New Year's Eve party. Well, the festivities lived up to their billing, and the cheery Captain and 1st Mate donned special headgear to celebrate!

The first week of March will find us on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, seeking some sunshine and surf to chase the winter blues away... By the time we're back S/V Gambit will be about ready to go back into the bay, for another season of sailing fun. We'll see y'all out there!
